Report from the Brisbane Truck Show
PocketMobile together with Trimble participated the Brisbane Truck Show May 16-19. The event was very successful and we will be coming back. PocketMobile’s message around PreCom was as part of the broader Trimble offering as the mobility front end for drivers to manage their stops, track their consignments as well as digital FFD and Vehicle inspections.
Trimble also hosted a networking morning, “Breakfast with Experts”. The breakfast was keynoted by Ron Finemore Transport who shared their insights and experiences throughout the implementation and use of the Trimble Fleet Maintenance Solution, TMT.
Specifically for PreCom – we had the opportunity to present a short message around the changing demands of recipient deliveries preferences. Enabling delivery preferences and the challenges in meeting these requirements. For example, the higher cost of execution outside of standard business hours. We followed this by illustrating how tools like customer preference and attaching premium rate changes and payments can help carriers navigate this challenge.
More about the Brisbane Truck Show
The Brisbane Truck Show is staged by Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA) , the national association representing and advancing the interests of manufacturers and suppliers of heavy vehicles and their components, equipment and technology. With a proud history dating back to 1968 , the 2019 Brisbane Truck Show is the fifth that will be held at the world-class Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
On display is the most comprehensive range of trucks, trailers, components, equipment, accessories and technology in Australia. Across four days the show attracts between thirty and forty thousand visitors. They include fleet executives and purchasing managers from industries including road transport, agriculture, retail, mining, construction, infrastructure, services, trades and local government.
The Brisbane Truck Show is far more than a trade exhibition. It is a showcase of the amazing capabilities and capacity of the Australian heavy vehicle industry. Through complementary activities within the show we will celebrate and promote the industry’s design, engineering, manufacturing and technology innovation, and the vital economic and highly-skilled employment footprint of our industry across Australia.
